July 3 @ 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Remembrance Ceremony for Animals Lost in the 2025 Flood at Kerrville Pets Alive!

A community remembrance ceremony will honor the pets and animals lost during the devastating 2025 Texas Hill Country flood on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 7:30 pm at Kerrville Pets Alive.

Held on the first anniversary of the disaster, the ceremony provides an opportunity for the community to remember beloved animal companions and reflect on the lives affected by the flood. During the disaster and its aftermath, Kerrville Pets Alive assisted approximately 350 animals, working alongside hundreds of volunteers to rescue, shelter, and reunite pets with their families.

Chaplains from Unity of the Hill Country will offer blessings for pets and for those who continue to grieve their loss. Attendees are invited to bring a photo of an animal lost in the flood to place on a memorial tree as part of the ceremony.

Leashed and properly contained pets are welcome to attend.

The ceremony will take place at Kerrville Pets Alive, 2102 Memorial Boulevard, Kerrville, TX 78028.

For questions or to participate in the ceremony, email info@kerrvillepetsalive.org. Additional information about Kerrville Pets Alive!’s flood response is available through Kerrville Pets Alive! Flood Response Video.
