Arcadia Live to Celebrate 100 Years With a Roaring ’20s Centennial Fundraiser

The Arcadia Live is marking a major milestone in Kerrville’s history with an unforgettable night of glamour, music, and celebration. On Saturday, March 7, 2026, the historic downtown theatre will host “Prohibition to Present: Our Centennial Celebration,” a premier fundraising event honoring 100 years of entertainment, creativity, and community at The Arcadia.

Running from 6 pm to 10 pm, the evening will transform the theatre into a roaring ’20s–style speakeasy, inviting guests to step back in time while celebrating the future of this beloved venue. Guests will enter through a secret speakeasy entrance, with a password to be revealed closer to the event, setting the tone for a high-energy and immersive experience that’s sure to be a highlight of the weekend.

The night begins at 6 pm with entrance and live music, followed by a chef-prepared dinner at 7:30 pm, all included with ticket purchase.

Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy live jazz music reminiscent of a classic Gatsby gathering, classic casino games, and a thrilling live auction featuring exclusive items and experiences.

The celebration also serves a greater purpose, raising funds to support Arcadia Live’s next 100 years of programming and preservation.

Prohibition to Present is a tribute to the theatre’s remarkable journey.

The Arcadia first opened its doors in 1926 as a vaudeville and silent movie theatre operated by the Kerrville Amusement Company. With the introduction of the Western Electric Sound System in the late 1920s, the theatre embraced the era of “talkies” and went on to serve as a movie house for more than six decades.

After closing in 1989, the building sat dark for nearly 30 years before being donated to a nonprofit organization in 2019, sparking a long-awaited revival in downtown Kerrville.

Thanks to the support of the local community and a dedicated group of volunteers, the theatre was fully renovated and reborn as Arcadia Live, a state-of-the-art venue for live music, community events, and gatherings. Located in the heart of downtown near the Guadalupe River, The Arcadia Live continues to serve as a place where Kerrville comes together.

Prohibition to Present: Our Centennial Celebration promises a night filled with elegance, energy, and meaning—an opportunity to toast the past, celebrate the present, and invest in the future of one of Kerrville’s most iconic spaces.
