SUMMARY:Watercolor Batik Workshop at Kerr Arts & Cultural Center
DESCRIPTION:The Watercolor Batik Workshop takes place on Saturday\, May 9\, 2026 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the Kerr Arts & Cultural Center in Kerrville. This hands-on class introduces participants to the unique batik technique using watercolor and wax. \nLed by instructor Kandi Stimson\, the workshop teaches how to build layers of watercolor and hot wax on Japanese rice paper\, followed by the final step of ironing away the wax to reveal a finished painting. This process creates rich textures and an old-world aesthetic that adds depth and character to each piece. \nThis class is best suited for students with some prior watercolor experience. A supply list will be provided after registration. \nTuition is $90.
