Wet Felted Coin Purse with Marti Swanson takes place on May 9, 2026 from 12 pm to 3 pm at The Rogue Skein in Kerrville. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art of wet-felting using a resist to create functional, three-dimensional pieces.

Students will learn foundational techniques while creating either two coin purses or a combination of a coin purse and an eyeglass case. The process explores shaping, layering, and adding texture with wool, resulting in lightweight yet durable finished items with a classic look.

The class is suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced fiber artists. Tuition is $135 and includes a consumables kit. Participants should bring an old bath towel, and additional supplies will be available for purchase in-store. The process involves some physical activity, including standing and rolling wool.
