Symphony of the Hills: Comfort and Joy at Cailloux Theater

The holiday season comes to life through orchestral and choral music during Symphony of the Hills: Comfort and Joy on Thursday, December 3, at 7 pm at Cailloux Theater. The annual Christmas concert will feature a collection of classical and holiday favorites, beginning with Corelli’s Christmas Concerto and an orchestral arrangement combining Vivaldi’s Winter Concerto with O Hanukkah. Rimsky-Korsakov’s Polonaise from Christmas Eve will also be featured.

The first half will include a performance by cellist Audrey Jellett of Ernest Bloch’s Prayer from Jewish Life. The second half will feature Symphony of the Hills’ annual collaboration with the Hill Country Chorale, including John Williams’ music from Home Alone and Robert Shaw’s The Many Moods of Christmas: Suite 3. The concert will conclude with Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival, performed by the chorus and audience.
