Safe & Secure Online at Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library

Adults can learn practical cybersecurity skills during Safe & Secure Online at Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library on June 27. Led by special guest Tim McDearmon, the workshop will provide helpful guidance for staying safer and more confident while navigating the digital world.

Topics covered during the session include creating strong passwords, recognizing phishing scams, avoiding risks associated with open Wi-Fi networks, protecting against malware, improving email and social media security, preventing identity theft, and identifying common online scams.

The workshop takes place from 3:30 pm to 5 pm in the First Floor Meeting Room at Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library, located at 505 Water St., Kerrville, TX 78028. The event is open to adults ages 18 and older.
