Ornaments of Hope Workshop at Café at the Ridge

Families are invited to experience creativity, community, and connection at the Ornaments of Hope Workshop, hosted by the Guadalupe River Center. This special holiday event offers children a chance to create meaningful keepsakes from Hill Country flood-reclaimed cypress wood—symbols of hope, renewal, and love for the Guadalupe River.

The workshop takes place from 3:30 to 4:30 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Café at the Ridge in Kerrville. Artist Callie Stelter of Hunt will lead the ornament-making session, guiding children step-by-step in crafting a festive decoration. The event also features a story circle with a guest reader, an educational segment about cypress trees and their role in the river ecosystem, and additional holiday crafts for kids to enjoy.
