Needle Felting Cacti with Marti Swanson at The Rogue Skein

Needle Felting Cacti with Marti Swanson takes place on Friday, April 10, 2026 from 1 pm to 4 pm at The Rogue Skein in Kerrville. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the art of needle felting through the creation of three unique cactus designs.

Students will learn foundational felting techniques, including sculpting three-dimensional shapes with wool, blending colors, and adding detailed finishing touches. Each participant will create a cactus pad, a barrel cactus, and a seven-leaf rosette, all displayed in mini terracotta pots with pebbles. The class is designed for all skill levels, from beginners to more experienced crafters.

All consumable materials are included in the $135 tuition fee, and students will leave with their finished pieces along with the basic tools needed to continue felting. Participants should bring an old bath towel, and additional supplies will be available for purchase in-store with a class-day discount.
