City Nature Challenge at Riverside Nature Center

The City Nature Challenge takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 12:15 pm to 2 pm at the Riverside Nature Center in Kerrville. This community science event invites participants to explore local nature while contributing to a global effort to document biodiversity.

Participants can search for plants, animals, and other wildlife, then record their observations by taking photos or audio and sharing them through the iNaturalist app. The collected data helps scientists and conservationists better understand local ecosystems and protect natural habitats.

The event encourages people of all ages to get outdoors, learn more about the environment, and take part in a collaborative effort that benefits both the community and local wildlife.
