2nd Annual Let’s Go to the Lake Celebration at Nimitz Lake

The 2nd Annual Let’s Go to the Lake Celebration takes place on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Nimitz Lake behind The Landing Apartments in Kerrville. Hosted by the Guadalupe River Center, the event celebrates recent milestones and continued community support for the organization’s future projects.

This free community gathering features a variety of family-friendly activities including food trucks, outdoor games, face painting, balloon twisting, a bounce house, obstacle course, craft booths, and a photo booth. Guests can also enjoy sailing demonstrations from the Sea Scouts, music by DJ Saint Spicer, and offerings from local wine and brew companies.

The event will also include raffle prizes valued at more than $4,000, including an HEB gift card, diamond earrings from Gold Cup Pawn, a kayak, paddle board, and additional prizes.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the afternoon. Leashed pets are welcome.
