2026 Kerrville Folk Festival YAPI (Young Artist Performance Incubator) at Kerrville Folk Festival

Young performers will have the opportunity to take the stage during the 2026 Kerrville Folk Festival YAPI (Young Artist Performance Incubator) on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm at the Threadgill Stage during the second Sunday of the festival.

Now in its 13th year at the Kerrville Folk Festival and hosted by Brenda Freed, the annual YAPI event encourages musicians and performers age 18 and under to showcase their talents in a welcoming and supportive environment. Performers of all experience and skill levels are invited to participate, giving young artists the chance to perform with a professional sound system and crew on one of the festival’s iconic stages.

A keyboard will be available for performers, while participants using other instruments are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
