River of Angels at The Arcadia Live

The Arcadia Live will host a private hometown screening of River of Angels on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 5 pm to 9 pm in Kerrville.
Before the documentary begins its film festival journey, the filmmakers are sharing it first with the community whose stories inspired the project. The screening offers an opportunity for attendees to remember, reflect, and honor the resilience of the Texas Hill Country while providing valuable feedback to help shape the film before its wider release.
Directed by Shawn Welling and narrated by Lee Majors, River of Angels features 37 interviews, including stories from Camp Mystic children, first responders, RV survivors, Camp La Junta, and Kerr County residents. The documentary captures the experiences, courage, and lasting impact of the community in the wake of the July 4, 2025 flood.
The film has a runtime of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
The screening will take place at The Arcadia Live, 717 Water Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.
